- Is it useful to preventively clean our sewers?
Preventive unblocking of sewers prevents blockages. Just like any other system in the house, regular maintenance ensures durability. We strongly advise against using a high-pressure cleaner yourself because you will damage the pipes by putting them under pressure. When you are renovating, we recommend endoscopically mapping out your pipes to avoid problems later on. Are you about to start a new building project? Then keep your sewerage plans carefully in order to be able to easily remedy any repairs in the future. Leaks can be recognised by dripping taps, mould or moisture stains on the walls, air bubbles or noises in the central heating system, loss of pressure... Depending on the type of pipe, we adapt our leak detection method to the situation and repair without any demolition work. - What is the cause of leaking pipes?
Water is the main cause of leaks. Depending on the composition and temperature of the water, the wear and tear process is faster. Uncoated pipes show signs of corrosion after the first two years and this then leads to leaks. So one man/woman is worth two warnings because major leaks cannot be repaired by our system. - Isn't it better to replace drain pipes?
If you are talking about lead pipes, we recommend that you replace them because they are harmful to your health(read the article in Nieuwsblad on this subject here). This is, of course, an expensive matter. If you are talking about other types of pipes (galvanised, copper and non-metallic pipes) then our epoxy liner (link to method) is better than a new one:
