Abnormally high water consumption can have several causes. Perhaps residents have moved in, or each family member briefly takes a bath every day. Is this not the case? Then you probably have a water leak. Is a tap leaking? Does your toilet keep running? Then there is a visible water leak. If you can't see it right away, then you most likely have a hidden leak.
Check the water leak!
Write down the meter reading before you go to sleep. Make sure no one consumes water that night and then revisit the meter reading in the morning. Have any figures changed? If so, you may have a leak and it is best to close the main tap.
