Sewer smell, toilet smell, "the stinky drain", they all have something in common: they are foul odours.
We often pick our nose in a clothes shop, in a museum or at a café and say, 'the well stinks'. No worse damper on the revelry than this smell. But we sometimes have to deal with foul odours in our own homes too, and these should certainly not be underestimated. With a smelly dishwasher, toilet, shower or sink, the cause is often a blockage. The odour nuisance is caused by bacteria or by gases (hydrogen sulphide) forming in the clogged pipe (this smell is described as rotten eggs). With an unpleasant odour from the drain, the sewer may have cracks or subsidence. The problem is usually quite easy to fix when you know the correct cause. Nu Flow tracks down the cause and ends your odour nuisance for good and without any breaking! Find out how we do it here.
The drain stinks and guests are about to visit?
Sewer odour can be temporarily expelled by airing well. An old-school tip is to place a bowl of ground coffee, the coffee will absorb the smell. But be aware that stench will only get worse if the cause of the problem is not treated.
