Both fall under 10-year liability for minor hidden defects and for serious construction defects that compromise the stability of your home.
How do you solve this?
- First and foremost, notify your insurance company.
- Compile your claim file (photos can be a big help here).
- Have the moisture problem diagnosed by a specialist in the field. In doing so, the moisture specialist can also determine the cause of the moisture problem.
- Get quotes, to repair the damage. - Submit the file to your contractor and your architect and try to avoid all discussions by resolving the problem in compromise.
- If both still refuse any cooperation or refuse to fulfil their duty, we recommend that you take a lawyer under your wing and declare them in default.
