Sewage odour, toilet odour... these are bad odours in the home

Sewage odour, toilet odour, "the stinking pit", they all have something in common: they are foul smells.

We often turn up our noses in a clothes shop, a museum or a café and say: 'the drain stinks'. There is no worse spoilsport than this smell. But also in our own homes we sometimes have to deal with bad smells and these should certainly not be underestimated. When the dishwasher, toilet, shower or sink smells bad, the cause is often a blockage. The odour is caused by bacteria or by gases (hydrogen sulphide) in the clogged pipe (this odour is described as rotten eggs). If the drain has a nasty smell, it is possible that the sewer has cracks or subsidence. The problem is usually fairly easy to fix when you know the exact cause. Nu Flow Locate the cause and put an end to your odour nuisance for good, without any breaking and entering! Discover here how we go about it.

The drain stinks and guests are coming over soon?

You can temporarily get rid of sewer odour by airing out well. An old-fashioned tip is to place a dish of ground coffee in the drain, the coffee will absorb the smell. But be aware that the smell will only get worse if the cause of the problem is not treated.
